ThinkGeek Announces iCade 8-Bitty – an NES-like Wireless Controller for iOS
Feb 14th
ThinkGeek has just announced the iCade 8-Bitty – a nifty new Bluetooth gamepad for iOS that looks extremely similar to an NES controller (with two shoulder buttons and an extra pair of A/B buttons). Retro-licious fun for your iPhone and iPad!

The 8-bitty works with any app that’s compatible with the original iCade, such as Pac-Man for iPad, Atari’s Greatest Hits, Super Mega Worm and others. The 8-Bitty is powered by two AAA batteries.
What’s most exciting about the 8-Bitty, however, is the price – just $25! The 8-Bitty is due out later this year, and ThinkGeek has created a mailing list if you’d like to be notified when it is officially released.

ThinkGeek, one of my favorite geek apparel and accessories site, has announced that they will soon be coming to market with a Bluetooth Controller for mobile devices, including Android phones and tablets. It’s being called the iCade 8-Bitty and, as its name suggests, it gives a nod to those of you who appreciate old-school gaming.
You’re presented with an NES-style rectangular controller that has four face buttons, two shoulder buttons and a directional pad, as well as your standard start and select buttons. The controller already works with many games in the Android market and ThinkGeek will have an open development platform for developers who want to add support for it.
