In-less-than-2-months-Apple-donates-2.6-million-to-charities-through-Matching-Gifts-Program

Apple’s ‘Matching Gift’ program, where Apple match any donation by an employee to charity, has now been expanded to include part time employees as well, MacGeneration reports.

Microsoft operate a similar scheme, but instead of the donation limit being $10,000, as it is with Apple, Microsoft have a $12,000 ceiling. Tim Cook has also promised that Apple employees abroad will be the next to join the scheme.

As of the 11th of November 2011, Apple reported having received $1.3 million in donations, therefore making a donation total of $2.6 million.
